We appreciate our racers! This is a small town of less than 500 people and YOU make a difference to us. Proceeds from this race go to various organizations in Marathon whether it is the library, the school or the Fire Dpt. We hire locals for our event so the money goes right back into our town. Unlike big cities, your individual registration can have a big impact. We hope to show you the hospitality that will bring you back to see us. Thank you!

Post Race Lunch:

11:00am to 2:00pm - The Marathon Volunteer Fire Department is sponsoring the post race Fundraiser lunch again this year!! Last year they raised $7558.00 to buy much needed equipment. They are bringing the big grill out again and will be serving up Chicken, Brisket, Sausage, Beans (vegetarian), baked potatoes, cobbler and iced tea! And...

Nicole Davenport is hanging out with our fabulous Fire Department cooking up her finger licking delights for M2M!!! Woohoo!

She appeared in BBQ Pitmasters in 2010 and Chopped in 2012.

In 2012 she was one of Five of the greatest BBQ Pitmasters in the USA who traveled to military bases in Kuwait to stage a once-in-a-lifetime Southern-style cookout. It became a documentary released in 2013 called "The Kings of Barbeque Kuwait". Watch the trailer here.

The lunch is $14.00 per plate. Extra plates can be ordered with the online registration, or lunch only can be ordered online as well. There will be a limited amount of tickets available the day of the race so be sure and reserve your spot by ordering a lunch online. All proceeds go to the Fire Department.

Post Race Massages:

Available in Evans Gallery (between the bank and the hotel on the main street) Sign up sheet in the gallery. $15/fifteen minutes.

Awards Ceremony:

The awards ceremony is right after the race at 1:30 pm at the Fire Dpt. Fundraiser lunch. See the awards page for all the spiffy awards!! NO AWARDS WILL BE MAILED! You may have a friend receive your award for you.

We give lots of awards - 1st, 2nd, 3rd for each race, mens and women's AND 1st & 2nd for each age category in each race. Folks are surprised they actually placed! We give awards so that you will come to the awards ceremony. So, if you don't come - don't ask me to mail your award! It defeats the purpose. Also, it is just a wonderful moment to end the race, if you haven’t experienced one, you will go away with a smile on your face and a warm heart!

Post-Race Party at Marathon Motel:

6:30pm dinner
7:30pm Music / Dance
9:00 pm Star Party

We are thrilled to have the Marathon Motel back to sponsor the Saturday night party in their courtyard. Live band with a great dance floor, fire pit and Nicole Davenport (see Post Race Lunch) will have her food truck delivering up Steak, Pulled Pork and Chicken Tacos with toppers of queso fresco, ensalada, black or barracho beans, jalopeno, Serrano, chili pequin, pickled onions and sweets. 12.00 for 5 tacos!! May be a chef plate special in there as well!

The Motel will provide a keg of beer until it runs out…otherwise BYOB!

They are pulling out the telescopes to gaze at the stars from our stunning Class I dark sky for a star party to add to the fun.

First Ever Sunday Breakfast:

Nicole again!!!! (See Post Race Lunch and Post Race Party) will have her food truck set up at The French Co. Grocer for breakfast!!
